About Us

[Our service is currently online for the month of July, for safety reasons while works are ongoing on the church building. Contact us for more details regarding the streamed service, or if you wish to indicate that you would like to come along to the in-person service. Within a couple of hours of the service taking place, a recording is made available via this website. A link to the most recent sermon should be visible on our home page under Recent Sermons, and via the sermon archive page (click on the SERMON ARCHIVE tab above).  Other online services from various Free Church congregations can be found at freechurch.org/online-services/].

We are a congregation that belongs to the Free Church of Scotland. We are evangelical in the reformed Presbyterian tradition. In dependence on God, we seek to worship Him ‘in spirit and truth’ (John 4 v 24). Preaching of the Word of God is central to our worship.

Our emphasis is on simplicity, spirituality and sound biblical teaching as we seek to worship together in Spirit and Truth, in unity and love. The church services usually last for about an hour.

The Bible puts a great emphasis on the preaching of the Word of God. We believe that it is vital for Christians to be educated and fed on the infallible (without error) truth of Scripture. It is a central part of our public worship. Our aim as a congregation is to proclaim the God-given message of the Bible so that people will come to know Jesus Christ themselves and be built up and strengthened in that knowledge.
